Stacy Rummel Bratcher joins the management team as interim hospital counsel, expanding her role as associate general counsel for USC health sciences. She has a diverse and extensive legal background in health care that qualifies her to provide legal counsel on a variety of issues involving our hospital programs, such as hospital/physician relationships, contract law, regulatory and compliance matters.

A staff member in USC’s Office of General Counsel since 2005, Bratcher is a health care attorney who provides primary legal support for the Keck School of Medicine, USC Care Medical Group, Health Research Association and the two USC hospitals.

Prior to joining USC, Bratcher was an associate with the Los Angeles office of health care law firm, Hooper, Lundy & Bookman Inc.

There she practiced in the firm’s regulatory and litigation departments, handling fraud and abuse defense, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement cases, and managed care litigation for a variety of health care providers.
