With improved surgical therapy for children with congenital heart disease, an increasing percentage of these patients have now grown to adulthood. These patients pose a distinctive problem because of the combination of adult congenital heart problems and other adult diseases. This special, cooperative program with Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA), combines the expertise of adult cardiology with that of pediatric cardiology to specifically address the needs of this unique patient group.
